High Hopes In-Home Care recognizes the importance of family and system involvement. We respect and support all at the table

We focus on the people we serve, with services including but not limited to: community involvement, budgeting, creating healthy menu items, shopping, transportation to meaningful and important places, medication education, social engagement, and overall case support.

DD Waiver Supportive In-Home Services: In-home support services is regulated by Virginia law. It is meant as a residential service that takes place in the individual's home, that typically supplements the primary care supports already in place. It is designed to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the individual.

    The following requirements apply:

    • The Individual has a primary diagnosis of developmental disability. has been granted an FIS or CL Waiver.
    • Lives in their own home or their family home.
    • The service shall include a skill building component to support them with acquiring, retaining, or improving the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills required for successfully living in their community.
    Focuses of in-home support services:
    • Training and support for activities of daily living and independent living skills.
    • Assistance and support in performing personal care tasks.
    • Assistance with light household tasks specific to the needs of the person.
    • Assistance with homemaking tasks such as food preparation and laundering clothes that are specific to the needs of the person.
    • Training and support on understanding and utilizing community resources.
    • Training on, and assistance in the monitoring of health, nutrition, and physical condition.
    • Training and support in adapting to a community and home environment.
    • Assistance with management of financial and personal affairs.
    • Awareness of health and safety precautions.
    • Possibility for coordinating transportation to community events.
